Underwater Photos of Anilao Shines at The Pink Argonauts Awards Night | Arabelle Jimenez




The recently concluded 2nd Pink Argonauts Underwater Photography Event was a splashing success. Participated by 44 underwater photographers from different parts of the country, the much-awaited awards night and graduation of the Zero to Hero Dive Master program were held last Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Aiyanar Beach and Dive Resort located in Mabini, Batangas. The event was graced by the Department of Tourism IV-A Regional Director Marites T. Castro.

DOT Presents Winning Photos of the 6th Anilao Underwater Shootout 2018

Home to the rarest underwater species in the world diving map, the rich marine life of Anilao was once again the center of festivities. The 6th edition of the Anilao Underwater Shootout, mounted by the Philippine Department of Tourism (PDOT)'s Office of Product and Market Development Dive  Group, was held on November 28 to December 2, 2018 in Mabini, Batangas.

Department of Tourism gears up for the 4th Anilao Underwater Photo Competition


Anilao, known for its rich marine life, is in fact popular in the world for its underwater macro photography.  This tiny spot detected in the planet's radar is a haven for international underwater photographers.  Now on its 4th year, the Anilao Underwater Photo Shootout is making more waves as expected. Be a part of this festival dubbed as "The Grand Prix of  Underwater Photo Competitions", happening on November 23 - 27, 2016. It is a five-day event of diving, adventure, and camaraderie.

Top Caliber UW Photographers at the 2nd Anilao Underwater Photography Competition Festival

The best of the best international underwater photographers recently converged in Anilao, Mabini, Batangas in the Philippines.  A total of 106 participants signed up, 60 for Open Class and 46 for Compact Class, wherein 70% come from 16 different nations. An underwater fiesta if you may, the 2nd Anilao Underwater Photography Competition Festival was a splashing success.
